Software Engineer
Latitude is reimagining global money movement by building faster, more cost-effective, 24/7 payment rails powered by stablecoin technology. We're looking for experienced software engineers who are excited about building critical financial infrastructure from the ground up.
The Role
As one of our early engineering hires, you'll have the opportunity to:
Design and implement core system architecture that will form the backbone of our payment infrastructure
Build essential components including workflow engines, partner integrations, ledgering systems, and public APIs
Work directly with technical leadership to make key architectural decisions
Shape our engineering culture and technical practices as we grow
What We're Looking For
4+ years of professional software development experience
(Our codebase is written in Ruby, but we value engineering fundamentals over specific language expertise)
Strong background in building reliable, scalable backend systems
Track record of owning projects end-to-end and making sound technical decisions
Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced startup environment where you'll wear multiple hats
Strong character and empathy - we're building a collaborative, kind, high-achieving culture
Nice to Have
Background in cryptocurrency/blockchain development
Experience with API design and implementation
Frontend development experience
DevOps and infrastructure expertise
