- Deep expertise in Node.js and TypeScript for backend services

- Experience with Redis for caching and session management
- Familiarity with Next.js, React, and modern testing tools (Vitest, Playwright)
Responsibilities
- Lead backend development in Node.js and TypeScript within a Next.js full-stack architecture
- Design and maintain integrations with breach intelligence providers (e.g., HIBP) with a focus on privacy and security
- Build and operate event-driven systems using Google Cloud Pub/Sub and manage cloud infrastructure (GKE, AWS S3/SES)
- Design and optimize PostgreSQL schemas and queries, and implement Redis caching strategies
- Collaborate with SRE on monitoring, alerting, and incident response using OpenTelemetry, Sentry, Prometheus, and Grafana
- Triage and resolve production incidents, participate in on-call/Base Load Engineer rotations
- Support frontend teams on API design and integration (React, TypeScript, Next.js)
- Participate in code reviews, security/privacy reviews, and contribute to testing and release processes
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Comfortable demonstrating knowledge through technical interviews and system design exercises
