Job Description

About This Job

NIQ is seeking a Manager, Commercial Data to own the definition, quality, and governance of the data that underpins how we sell, price, and go to market. This is a highly visible, hands‑on role focused on ensuring commercial, sales, and product data is trusted, consistent, and fit for purpose across systems, reporting, and decision‑making.

This role sits at the intersection of Commercial, Sales Operations, Product, Finance, and Technology. Rather than managing a team, you’ll act as a functional expert and enterprise owner, setting standards, driving data quality, and enabling reliable insights that support selling effectiveness and business transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Own end‑to‑end accountability for commercial, sales, and product data used in selling activities across the enterprise
  • Define and govern data models, hierarchies, attributes, and standards across the full data lifecycle
  • Establish and continuously improve data quality controls, validation rules, and root‑cause resolution processes
  • Ensure accurate and consistent application of data across CRM, pricing, reporting, and downstream platforms (e.g., finance and customer service systems)
  • Partner closely with Sales Operations, Commercial, Product, Finance, Technology, and Data teams to align data to business priorities
  • Enable trusted dashboards, KPIs, and analytics by ensuring governed, reliable datasets
  • Support business change initiatives by ensuring data readiness for new products, pricing changes, and go‑to‑market updates
  • Drive simplification and scalability by improving documentation, controls, and data processes while reducing manual effort

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of relevant experience in data management, data ownership, enterprise data governance, or closely related roles
  • Extensive experience working with commercial, sales, product, and pricing data within a revenue‑driven environment
  • Proven track record of defining data standards and improving data quality across complex systems and full data lifecycles
  • Hands‑on experience working with CRM, ERP, pricing, and reporting platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as a senior individual contributor, influencing senior stakeholders and driving outcomes without formal people management responsibilities
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills, with comfort operating across ambiguity and large‑scale transformation initiatives
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience; advanced or graduate degree preferred

Additional Information

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation of the following range: $117,250.00 - $125,000.00.  Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role is eligible for a sales-based incentive or performance-based bonus. Other benefits include flexible working environment, comprehensive health insurance, industry-leading parental leave, life insurance, education support and more.

Our Benefits

  • Flexible working environment
  • Volunteer time off
  • LinkedIn Learning
  • Employee-Assistance-Program (EAP)
