NYC Alliance seeks an AI Business Analyst to help transform how our organization develops, evaluates, and delivers products and services. This role sits at the intersection of business, technology, and operations, supporting teams in effectively leveraging AI to enhance efficiency, creativity, and decision-making.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in identifying opportunities for AI integration, designing scalable workflows, and ensuring solutions are implemented responsibly and effectively. This individual will identify practical opportunities to apply AI across areas such as merchandising, design, wholesale, marketing, and operations, turning emerging capabilities into real, usable workflows that support day-to-day business needs while maintaining brand standards and operational discipline.
This position will also support the adoption of both external AI tools and internally developed capabilities, helping drive structured, measurable change across the organization. Additionally, the role will contribute to building organizational knowledge around AI by developing training resources, documenting best practices, and maintaining centralized resources that support ongoing learning and governance.
Key Responsibilities
AI Opportunity Identification & Evaluation
• Explore and assess AI tools and platforms for relevance within a fashion and private label environment
• Partner with merchandising, design, wholesale, and marketing teams to identify high-impact use cases
• Develop clear business cases and prioritize initiatives based on value, feasibility, and scalability
Pilot Execution & Insights
• Lead small-scale pilots to test AI solutions in real workflows
• Define success metrics, track results, and gather user feedback
• Translate findings into actionable recommendations for broader rollout
Adoption & Change Support
• Help guide teams through the introduction of new AI tools and processes
• Create rollout plans that include communication, training, and ongoing support
• Work cross-functionally to ensure new solutions align with existing workflows and team needs
• Capture feedback to continuously improve adoption and usability
Governance & Best Practices
• Support responsible AI usage aligned with brand standards, data privacy, and company policies
• Document clear guidelines for how AI tools should be used across teams
• Promote consistency and best practices in how AI is applied across the organization
Performance Tracking & Continuous Improvement
• Track adoption, efficiency gains, and overall business impact of AI initiatives
• Share insights and updates with leadership to inform future investments
• Stay current on AI trends and identify opportunities to bring new ideas into the business
• 4-7 years of experience in business analysis, operations, or digital initiatives
• Experience working within fashion, retail, or consumer goods environments
• Hands-on experience with AI tools in a business or creative setting
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate impact and performance
• Experience creating training materials and supporting team adoption
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across both creative and operational teams
Preferred
• Experience in private label or multi-brand environments
• Exposure to tools supporting merchandising, product data, or digital asset management
• Understanding of generative AI capabilities and limitations
• Experience supporting change initiatives or new technology rollouts
