- Strong background in lean manufacturing, process optimization, and continuous improvement
- Proven experience scaling low-volume/pilot production to higher-volume runs
- Familiarity with quality management systems and production quality controls
- Effective cross-functional communication with design, production, and executive teams
- Leadership and people management experience
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a growing avionics manufacturing engineering team, setting goals and defining key projects and initiatives
- Identify production inefficiencies and drive lean manufacturing improvements across PCBA, harness, and electronics box assemblies
- Define and implement manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures, and work instructions to improve throughput and quality
- Scale low-volume/pilot production lines toward higher-volume manufacturing while maintaining product integrity
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design, production, quality, and supply chain to resolve issues and enable manufacturability
- Establish and monitor quality controls, metrics, and continuous improvement programs on the production floor
- Oversee process validation, assembly flows, and handoffs to production; manage production readiness activities
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
