The Behavioral Health Technician should be caring and compassionate advocates to support individuals with Behavioral health needs in a home / community / school setting. With the ability to work as part of a team in implementing creative interventions outlined in the individual client’s treatment plan, to encourage individual growth to assist in increasing social skills, independent living skills and coping skill to improve overall positive relationships and behaviors across all settings.

Pay: $18.00

Shift: 7am-7pm

Required Education/Experience:

Education

  • Have a high school diploma or the equivalent of a high school diploma and have completed a 40-hour training covering the RBT Task List as evidenced by a certification that includes the name of the responsible trainer, who is certified as a BCBA or BCaBA OR
  • Certification as a Board-Certified Associate Behavior Analyst (BCaBA), Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), or Board-Certified Autism Technician (BCAT) OR
  • Behavior health certification or behavior analysis certification OR Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the provision of behavioral health services.

Experience-

  • Previous work experience must be on a paid, full-time basis working with children, youth and young adults

Required Licenses/Certifications

  • Valid driver’s license

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide therapeutic behavioral interventions to clients in accordance with treatment plan in the client’s home, the community, and/or school setting. 

  • Adhere to client schedule and deliver appropriate authorized units of service prescribed as directed by supervisor.

  • Work collaboratively with other members of the treatment team.

  • Report the effectiveness of treatment protocols and treatment difficulties to supervisor and clinician.

  • Document treatment data/results on progress notes that are clinically appropriate and timely.

  • Complete Assessment and Assistance in accordance with Department of Human Services guidelines.

  • Record all cancellations/changes in scheduled session on IBHS Service Delay form.

  • Complete miscellaneous paperwork as directed by management.

  • Utilize safe crisis management techniques as deemed appropriate.

  • Perform all job responsibilities in a safe manner and adhere to safety practices and standards established by the company.

  • Adhere to the Exposure Control Plan and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the task being performed. 

  • Maintain student confidentiality in accordance with company policy and HIPAA Privacy Rule regulations.

  • Attend trainings, supervision sessions, and staff meetings as directed by supervisor and in accordance with company policy and program regulations.

  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with key stakeholders. Ensures stakeholder satisfaction with the company by maintaining proactive, responsive communication. 

  • Maintains regular, proactive communication with key stakeholder groups, and builds new relationships as needed to further the company’s mission and vision. 

  • Directs Communication with Management and Executives.  Establishes and maintains frequent and regular communication with Behavioral Consultant, administrative director and clinical director as needed.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Displaying Creativity - (Supported by Synergize) - Uses creativity appropriately to drive progress and encourages others to do the same. Makes innovation a priority among team members; encourages reasonable risk taking.
  • Prepares for sessions using creative and innovative therapeutic interventions outlined on the individual clients treatment plans
  • Managing Stress-(Supported by Sharpening the Saw) Uses healthy and effective methods to manage stress (e.g., maintaining appropriate diet, exercise, and sleep schedules); reacts effectively when faced with high-pressure situations
  • Championing the needs of the People we Support/Customers (Supports Culture of Caring)-Provides timely and professional service to both internal requests and the requests of the people we support and customers; is responsive to the people we support and customers' needs and requests. Is always courteous to the people we support or customer and considers the needs of the people we support or customer when making decisions
  • Following Policies and Procedures- Understands and follows company policies; encourages others to follow work rules; calls attention to actions that may violate policies and procedures.
  • Meeting Basic Work Expectations-Complies with basic job requirements and tasks; arrives at work on time as scheduled; proactively informs others when he/she encounters problems that may limit his/her ability to meet expectations.

  • Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements.
