Technical Product Manager

Rise8 builds secure, custom software for government organizations and measures success by mission impact. They are seeking a Technical Product Manager for Mission OS to connect technical execution with mission outcomes, lead cross-functional teams, partner with OSS communities, and drive continuous delivery of educational products and platform integrations for federal clients.

Skills

  • Deep technical fluency in architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices
  • Hands-on experience with open source software communities or OSS-backed products
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor balanced cross-functional teams
  • Strong facilitation skills for workshops and alignment activities
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Familiarity with lean product methodologies and continuous delivery metrics
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)

Responsibilities

  • Translate complex DevSecOps, platform engineering, and digital transformation concepts into actionable product experiences and content
  • Partner with open source communities and contributors to shape tooling, distribution, and integrations
  • Drive continuous delivery of Mission OS assets (video series, workbook, marketing, live events) using lean product practices
  • Define and evolve product vision and strategy with leadership, content creators, marketing, and government stakeholders
  • Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions to extract insights and validate product direction
  • Embed with cross-functional teams (developers, designers, content strategists, government partners) to model balanced-team practices
  • Support client adoption of Mission OS principles as both a product leader and hands-on practitioner
  • Measure outcomes, iterate using Improvement Kata and evidence from production

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field preferred
  • Or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
  • U.S. citizenship (required for federal work)
