Skills
- Proficiency in a compiled language (Go strongly preferred)
- Experience with GraphQL API design and implementation
- Strong SQL skills and PostgreSQL schema design and tuning
- Familiarity with AWS services (Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, RDS)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes
- API design, testing, and software architecture best practices
- Production incident triage and root-cause analysis
- Experience leveraging GenAI tools in delivery (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend features using Go, GraphQL, Node, and SQL.
- Collaborate with product, frontend, and technical leads to translate requirements into reliable, scalable implementations.
- Create technical designs, provide scope and risk estimates, and produce documentation for system and feature builds.
- Apply best practices for testing, automation, design patterns, and code quality.
- Build and operate systems on AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, RDS) and support batch processing and job handling.
- Triage and resolve production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement long-term mitigations.
- Mentor and provide actionable feedback to junior engineers during design and code reviews.
- Contribute to technical strategy and quarterly roadmap planning with senior leadership.
- Explore and integrate AI/GenAI tools to improve development speed and software quality.
Education
- BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent professional experience
