- Analytical skills for cost modeling and supplier evaluation
- Ability to travel extensively (up to 50%) and work onsite in Hawthorne
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage domestic and international supply base for electronic components used in Starlink kits
- Lead RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs and act as primary supplier interface
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure continuity of supply and protect company interests
- Evaluate demand signals, place and manage purchase orders, and track supplier delivery performance
- Partner with design and supply chain engineering teams to address obsolescence, adopt low-cost parts, and support NPI and mass production
- Visit and assess supplier facilities for capacity, operational capability, and financial health
- Conduct supplier analysis including strategic direction, capacity, market position, and risk assessments
- Present sourcing strategies, cost reviews, and recommended awards to executives
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, business, or related field (required) or equivalent experience
- Relevant certifications in procurement or supply chain a plus
