Platform Engineer
Skills
- 2+ years of software development and infrastructure experience with significant contributions
- Experience with AWS or other cloud providers
- Familiarity with container orchestration, CI/CD systems, and production observability
- Comfort debugging distributed systems and improving reliability
- Experience or familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Pulumi) and container tooling (Docker, ECS, EKS)
- Basic knowledge of one or more languages such as Ruby, Go, or Python
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and evolution of the internal platform-as-a-service used by application and service developers
- Build and maintain tooling that improves developer workflows, deployment reliability, and day-to-day productivity
- Collaborate with platform and application engineers to identify friction points and implement incremental improvements
- Apply and promote best practices around Infrastructure-as-Code, containerized workloads, and CI/CD pipelines
- Explore and help integrate AI-assisted development tools and LLM-powered solutions for internal support and operations
- Propose ideas and improvements and work with the team on implementation with mentorship
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred or equivalent practical experience
- Ongoing learning mindset and willingness to upskill in cloud and platform engineering practices
