Senior Application Security Engineer
Skills
- Proven experience in application/product security and secure SDLC practices
- Threat modeling and risk assessment expertise
- Familiarity with SAST, DAST, and pentest/runbook frameworks
- Strong knowledge of encryption, authentication, and secure communication protocols
- Kubernetes security posture management and RBAC design experience
- Experience securing multi-tenant architectures and preventing cross-tenant data leakage
- Experience with CI/CD and supply chain security tooling
- Proficiency in at least one programming language; familiarity with Python and Go
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Partner with product and engineering teams to integrate security into design and architecture decisions
- Perform threat modeling and risk assessments across the full product surface
- Manage secure development pipeline including code security and third-party library supply chain security
- Translate emerging standards and guidance (e.g., OWASP Top 10 for LLMs, MCP specs) into internal policy and controls
- Triage Bug Bounty and responsibly disclosed vulnerabilities and track remediation
- Support Kubernetes security posture management, workload hardening, RBAC design, and admission control
- Design and validate multi-tenant security architecture, data plane isolation, and control plane hardening
- Participate in on-call rotation to respond to security incidents and escalations
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Relevant security certifications or advanced degrees are a plus
