Hypha is an AI-native platform transforming asset management across the full lifecycle—acquisition, management, and exit. Focused on healthcare facilities and multifamily real estate, we're revolutionizing the industry through three key pillars:
Observability: Providing real-time visibility into asset performance, deal progress, and market conditions for all stakeholders
Intelligence: Enabling AI-driven multidimensional optimization with risk scores, tax strategies, and benchmarking
Orchestration: Creating seamless workflows and a single source of truth to eliminate inefficiencies
As a Senior / Staff Frontend Engineer at Hypha, you’ll own the experience layer of the platform. You’ll build the interfaces where users interact with complex financial data, AI-extracted entities, document viewers, dashboards, and conversational search. Working closely with product and design, you’ll translate complex workflows into interfaces that feel clear, fast, and intuitive.
This role is focused on both frontend craft and frontend architecture. You’ll lead the development of high-quality user interfaces, shape interaction patterns across the platform, and make key decisions around component architecture, performance, state management, and frontend scalability. The goal is to make complex data and AI-powered workflows feel simple and usable, while helping define the standards and systems that keep the frontend fast, cohesive, and maintainable as Hypha grows.
This role is scoped for senior and staff-level frontend engineers who have deep experience building polished, high-performance product experiences and shaping frontend architecture in production. Compensation will be determined based on experience, technical depth, and scope of ownership.
Architect and scale frontend systems for data-dense interfaces, dashboards, document viewers, and AI-powered workflows
Drive frontend performance across the application, including bundle size, rendering efficiency, state management, and perceived speed
Build polished product experiences with careful attention to interaction design, animation, responsiveness, and edge cases
Partner closely with design and product to translate complex workflows into intuitive, high-quality interfaces
Own component architecture and help evolve our shared component library and frontend standards
Improve maintainability and developer velocity through better abstractions, patterns, and frontend tooling
Provide technical leadership through design reviews, architectural decisions, and mentorship of other engineers
7+ years of frontend or full-stack software engineering experience, with meaningful time spent owning frontend systems in production
React/Next.js expert — You have deep experience building performant applications with React and Next.js in production. You understand rendering tradeoffs, state management, component architecture, and how to scale frontend systems over time.
Strong visual and product sense — You have a sharp eye for detail and care deeply about quality. You notice when spacing is off, when an interaction feels wrong, or when a workflow introduces unnecessary friction. You can improve on designs through strong product and UI judgment, not just implement them.
Technical leadership — You help raise the quality bar through frontend architecture decisions, code quality, design feedback, and mentorship of other engineers.
UX depth — You think holistically about user flows, information hierarchy, accessibility, keyboard navigation, and responsive behavior. You understand how products need to behave across loading, error, empty, and populated states.
Frontend systems thinking — You understand the browser deeply, including CSS layout, DOM performance, rendering behavior, and browser APIs. You make sound decisions around performance, maintainability, and architectural tradeoffs.
AI-fluent — You use AI coding tools daily and know how to wield them effectively as a multiplier on top of strong fundamentals.
