Skills
- Deep backend and distributed systems expertise
- Hands-on experience with browser automation and anti-bot evasion techniques
- Knowledge of fingerprinting, signature mitigation, and managed attribution
- Experience building distributed scraping or collection architectures
- Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript
- Strong instrumentation, monitoring, and data-driven debugging skills
- Familiarity with agentic systems and making data tool-call ready
- Comfort with occasional full-stack work (React) and infrastructure components
Responsibilities
- Learn and extend existing data collection systems and differentiate capabilities for mission-critical datasets
- Design and implement robust, scalable collection architectures resilient to advanced anti-abuse and detection systems
- Develop and maintain browser automation, fingerprinting mitigation, and managed attribution tooling
- Instrument and monitor collection pipelines to ensure data quality, availability, and operational integrity
- Collaborate with mission and engineering teams to make collected data tool-call ready (schemas, metadata, retrieval patterns)
- Prioritize engineering efforts under uncertainty and contribute to cross-team technical decisions
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Advanced degree preferred but not required; relevant experience can substitute for formal education
