Description of Work
The primary purpose of this position is to oversee administrative functions related to supervising, evaluating, and supervising residential staff to ensure student safety on and off campus. This role is essential in maintaining a secure, supportive, and well-managed campus living environment.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences

Bachelor’s degree in child development, special education, education or a closely related field from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience with the population served, in a residential program, or in a goal-oriented program;
or
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of the above experience;
or
Associate’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of the above experience, one of which must have been supervisory;
or
High school or General Education Development (GED) diploma and five years of the above experience, two of which must have been supervisory.

*This is an anticipated vacancy on 6/1/2026. The position is a full-time, 11month position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits, including paid vacation, paid sick leave, paid holidays, paid community service leave, retirement, 401k, health, dental and vision insurance.**

Recruitment Salary Range $40,000 to $44,000 (Dependent on qualifying education and relevant experience.)
This position is designated Mandatory and must report or stay over during adverse weather events.
Supplemental Information:
NCSD uses the Merit-Based Recruitment and Selection Plan to fill positions subject and not subject to the State Human Resources Act with the most qualified individuals. Hiring salary will be based on relevant qualifications, internal equity, and budgetary considerations pertinent to the advertised position.

of the General Statutes.
