We are growing and are looking for a Backend Engineer to join our mission in developing life saving software!

Job Description

Viz.ai is growing fast, and as we grow we scale both in the number of patients we treat and in the number of products we have in our portfolio. Your mission will be to build a robust yet flexible system that can withstand such growth and expand our integrations with various healthcare providers using different data formats.

You will

Your responsibilities will span from design to implementation of a complex, time critical, micro services based system that processes high volumes of data. You will collaborate with various teams, including the algo, data and product teams, in order to deliver the best code using high end technologies.

Tech stack:

We are running on AWS with Python as the main programming language. We are using various technologies (such as S3, DynamoDB, Postgres, RabbitMQ, Temporal, Docker, Redis, Prometheus and others) to run our services. We are always open to new technologies and tools that will help us to do our job even better.

What success looks like:

• You are able to work solo and also as part of a team, according to what is needed at that point

• You own the team’s domain to ensure code quality, performance and scalability of our products

• You are eager to learn new things and also proactively suggest new ideas and initiatives

Requirements:

• At least 4 years of experience in backend development.

• Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.

• Strong team player with a proactive, “can-do” attitude.

• Experience working with backend pipelines including messaging queues - Advantage.

• Experience working with cloud environments - Advantage.

• Experience in the healthcare tech industry (specifically EHR and HL7) - Big Advantage.

• B.Sc. or higher in Computer Science or in a similar field.
