Material Planner V

Voyager Technologies is a defense, national security and space technology company developing mission-critical systems. The Material Planner V will lead material planning and production control for prototyping, design and development programs, coordinating with program managers, schedulers, suppliers and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery and manage supply/demand risks.

Skills

  • Extensive production control, material planning and production scheduling experience
  • Deep knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (Costpoint, SAP, Oracle or similar)
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
  • Experience briefing program teams, executives and customers on schedule status and risks
  • Supplier management and subcontract oversight for large subcontracts
  • Ability to analyze bills of material, MRP exceptions, ECOs and purchasing workflows

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own program production plans in coordination with program managers, schedulers and control account managers
  • Determine production schedule requirements and integrate supplier lead-time analysis to meet IMS dates
  • Release engineering drawings, issue purchase requisitions and POs, and track supplier status throughout production
  • Create and use tools to monitor production plan stages and actively manage schedule and supply risks
  • Conduct status meetings and briefings with program teams, management, suppliers and customers
  • Monitor and report production capacity, purchasing activities and critical shortages; escalate risks proactively
  • Support development and implementation of performance metrics (OTPR, OTD to Contract, OTD to Manufacturing)
  • Manage demand and orders within Costpoint or equivalent MRP/ERP systems
  • Ensure adherence to supply chain and operations processes and participate in customer/peer reviews

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in supply chain management or related field
