Skills
- 5+ years of backend software engineering experience with production systems
- Strong proficiency in Python for backend and data processing
- Experience designing and building REST/GraphQL APIs and service-oriented architectures
- Practical experience integrating ML/AI systems (LLMs, ranking, recommendations) in production
- Familiarity with SQL and/or NoSQL databases and data-intensive architectures
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and modern infrastructure practices
- Exposure to containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong debugging skills and experience improving performance and reliability
Responsibilities
- Design and implement APIs and backend services powering AI-driven product experiences
- Integrate LLMs and ML models into production workflows for inference, ranking, and evaluation
- Build and maintain data pipelines supporting training, inference, and model evaluation
- Collaborate closely with ML engineers, data scientists, and product to ship end-to-end features
- Improve system performance, reliability, and scalability across distributed services
- Implement observability, monitoring, and debugging tooling to enable rapid incident response
- Drive root-cause analysis and long-term fixes for complex production issues
- Participate in code reviews and raise engineering standards across the team
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
