System Integration & Test Engineer - HWIL/SWIL
Skills
- Experience with Flatsat, HWIL, SWIL, or simulator integration environments
- Proficiency in test automation and scripting (TCL, Python, or similar)
- Knowledge of systems engineering practices: requirements traceability, verification planning, test documentation
- Ability to read schematics, mechanical drawings, CAD models, and cable/wire lists
- Understanding of space mission lifecycle phases (requirements, design, build, test, operations)
- Strong troubleshooting, data analysis, and technical reporting skills
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain government security clearance
Responsibilities
- Map technical requirements into system- and subsystem-level test strategies and plans
- Develop test procedures and automated test scripts for software, hardware, and integrated systems
- Design and build automated test systems, GSE, and tooling to improve test coverage and efficiency
- Act as Test Conductor for validation events, leading dry runs, readiness assessments, and scripted executions
- Write and maintain TCL-based (and other) automated test scripts and reusable test frameworks
- Troubleshoot HW/SW interactions, analyze test data, and produce test reports and non-conformance documentation
- Coordinate cross-functional planning and execution across engineering, integration, and operations
- Support system architecture activities including trade studies, CONOPS, algorithms, and interface documentation
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field required
- Master’s degree in a STEM field preferred
