Skills
- Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, production workflows, and production ramp strategies
- Experience launching new products on condensed timelines and scaling to high-rate production
- Strong program and project management using Agile, Lean, TPS, Six Sigma methodologies
- Proficiency with project tools (Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Gantt charts)
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, organizational, communication and leadership skills
- Experience communicating across security classification levels and with cleared suppliers
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently (>25%) to support global manufacturing operations
- Currently hold and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
Responsibilities
- Serve as lead manufacturing engineering authority and program manager for assigned classified programs, aligning manufacturing strategy with program objectives, schedule, and budget.
- Drive manufacturing activities across concept, prototyping, LRIP, and full-rate production phases.
- Champion and apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles early in design and throughout development.
- Communicate complex technical and programmatic information appropriately across engineers, leadership, government customers, and cleared suppliers at varying classification levels.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate technical, schedule, cost, and security risks; develop and execute mitigation plans.
- Act as primary liaison between product-aligned manufacturing engineering teams and cross-functional groups (test, automation, digital systems, facilities, supply chain, quality) to ensure coordinated execution.
- Develop and implement manufacturing engineering strategy, roadmap, and best practices for classified program execution and capability growth.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (required)
- Advanced degree in engineering, operations, or business (preferred)
