Senior Software Engineer - AI and Automation, Data & Analytics | USA | Remote
Skills
- 5+ years backend software engineering with systems integration experience.
- Proficiency in Python (preferred) or JavaScript/Node.js for service development.
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) and orchestration libraries (LangChain, LlamaIndex, Anthropic MCP, etc.).
- Experience building serverless or containerized services (GCP Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, AWS Lambda, etc.).
- Familiarity with SQL and data warehouses, especially BigQuery, for structuring data for AI workflows.
- Knowledge of authentication patterns, secure API handling, rate limiting, and production deployment practices.
- Proven track record shipping AI-powered features used by real users.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain agentic and AI-integrated workflows and services end-to-end.
- Build modular, composable agentic systems and reusable ‘agentic skills’ using orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, MCP, LlamaIndex).
- Develop backend APIs, MCP servers, CLIs and microservices that connect models to Salesforce, BigQuery, Slack, email, and calendars.
- Architect data flows for retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and integrate vector stores or knowledge bases.
- Implement observability, logging, performance metrics, and model evaluation and feedback loops.
- Scope automation opportunities by partnering with GTM teams, create self-service solutions, and produce documentation and enablement materials.
- Define governance, access controls, audit trails, and human-in-the-loop escalation paths for AI workflows.
- Collaborate closely with Data Engineering, GTM Systems, Field Operations, and leadership to prioritize and refine use cases.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Comfortable demonstrating technical depth through past projects and production systems
