Skills
- Strong proficiency in Python for production systems
- Advanced SQL, data modeling, and DBT experience on Snowflake
- Experience with AWS services (S3, Batch, ECR, DMS, MWAA) and cloud-native architectures
- Production ETL/ELT pipeline design and orchestration with Airflow
- Experience integrating AI/ML tools into development workflows or data products
- Architecture leadership and engineering standards definition
- Proven ability to extract and unify value from diverse data sources (flat files, Excel, DBs, APIs)
Responsibilities
- Own technical architecture and long-term strategy for ISC’s data platform, making technology decisions for scalability and maintainability.
- Drive adoption of AI-assisted development practices and build AI-driven user and engineering capabilities.
- Partner with executives, product, engineering, data science, and business stakeholders to translate needs into delivery plans.
- Provide hands-on mentorship through code reviews, architecture discussions, and knowledge sharing.
- Scope and solve ambiguous problems independently and deliver aligned solutions.
- Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and data infrastructure using AWS, DBT, Snowflake, Python, Docker, and Airflow.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Willingness to rapidly develop domain expertise in insurance
