As our AI Software Engineering PhD Intern, you will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of AI software solutions including algorithms, frameworks, and AI software architectures across domains such as computer vision, machine learning, and deep learning.
You'll assist in implementing and tuning models for performance and accuracy, applied research, and hardware/software integration. This role may also include the creation of AI software solutions in partnership with internal product teams and external partners as well as system level deployment to enable scalable and efficient AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Contribute to the development and optimization of AI algorithms and software architectures
Assist in model implementation, tuning, and performance optimization for computer vision and machine learning applications
Support applied research initiatives and hardware/software integration projects

Minimum Qualifications
Education & Research Focus:
Must be a student actively pursuing a PhD in engineering or computer science program with emphasis on Artificial Intelligence
Specialization in topics related to federated learning, image classification, or multiscale attention for object detection, computer vision, image processing, and feature engineering
Research/coursework experience with explainability tools
Coursework or experience in the following:
Data engineering and preparation expertise: data engineering, feature engineering, data imbalance, noisy dataset management
Python and C++
PyTorch, TensorFlow, and OpenCV
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in deploying AI applications in production environments, requiring high levels of precision and accuracy
Experience working within the semiconductor industry or similar technology sectors
Research achievements: First-author publications in top computer vision conferences (CVPR, ICCV, NeurIPS)
A strong portfolio demonstrating projects in computer vision/image AI (e.g., open-source contributions, research papers/projects)
Git, cloud platforms, cloud concepts, containers, Docker, and MLOps

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $142,900.00-193,400.00 USD
