Sr. Software Development Engineer
Skills
- Professional experience with Java or Python (comfortable with both as needed)
- Experience with Apache Spark for large-scale data processing
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with Snowflake and MySQL
- Experience with AWS data ecosystem (S3, Glue) and table formats like Iceberg
- Familiarity with AI-augmented coding tools such as Kiro for workflow optimization
- Knowledge of Data Clean Rooms, DMPs (LiveRamp, Neustar) or Data Science workflows (R) is a plus
- Strong testing and CI/CD practice knowledge
- Experience implementing monitoring/observability and performance tuning
- Understanding of data privacy and security best practices
Responsibilities
- Lead high-priority projects from initial design and scoping through release and post-launch optimization
- Provide architectural guidance early in product development to ensure scalability and long-term maintainability
- Translate Data Science models and methodologies into production-grade code and pipelines
- Design and maintain systems to process, match, and store large datasets from internal and third-party sources
- Ensure end-to-end quality through robust unit testing, route testing, and ongoing data quality checks
- Implement monitoring and observability to improve performance and reliability
- Analyze and optimize performance to scale infrastructure and data pipelines
- Break down complex business requirements into well-defined engineering tasks
- Contribute to cross-functional Agile team goals and foster psychological safety
- Mentor and sponsor other engineers, providing clear and constructive feedback for growth
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Master’s degree in a technical field is a plus
- Equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of formal degree
