Skills
- Experience with PCBA manufacturing, harness assembly, and electromechanical integration.
- Practical knowledge of lean manufacturing and process optimization tools.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and manufacturing metrics.
- Proven ability to scale production from pilot to higher volumes.
- Strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder management.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the Avionics Production team, setting goals and defining key projects and initiatives.
- Design and implement manufacturing processes for PCBA, harness fabrication, and electronics box assemblies.
- Drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives to reduce waste and improve throughput.
- Define production metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to meet quality and schedule targets.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design, test, supply chain, and executive teams to ensure manufacturability and readiness for volume.
- Scale low-volume/pilot production lines into predictable, higher-volume manufacturing flows.
- Establish and maintain quality controls, process documentation, and operator work instructions.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- Relevant professional experience in avionics or electronics manufacturing in lieu of degree may be considered.
