Skills
- 7+ years data engineering or related experience with strong production focus
- 4+ years building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines
- 3+ years Python development, experience building production-grade APIs (FastAPI or similar)
- Expert SQL skills including query optimization and performance tuning
- Advanced dbt implementation experience (models, macros, incremental/dynamic tables)
- Extensive Snowflake experience including performance optimization and Time Travel
- Hands-on experience with AWS data services (Kinesis, Firehose, Redshift, EMR, Lambda) and container orchestration (ECS/EKS)
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, implement, and operate end-to-end data engineering solutions using Agile practices
- Develop and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines and complex API/vendor integrations
- Collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, DBAs, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver data solutions
- Lead technical projects and take ownership of delivery in a fast-paced environment
- Improve data reliability, reduce latency, and scale platform performance and security
- Implement performance tuning, monitoring, and recovery strategies for data systems
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience
