Software Engineer I - Secure Platform Operations (Remote Eligible)
Skills
- Proficiency in at least one language: Python, Go, Java, or Bash
- Basic cloud knowledge (AWS preferred) and interest in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Familiarity or strong interest in security concepts (e.g., OWASP Top 10)
- Understanding of containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS)
- Experience or willingness to work with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab/GitHub)
- Strong verbal and written communication and collaboration skills
- Analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Responsibilities
- Assist in designing and maintaining secure infrastructure on EKS/AWS using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Write automation code (Python, Go, Bash) to reduce manual tasks and support threat detection and vulnerability management.
- Integrate security tools (SAST, DAST, SCA) into CI/CD pipelines to provide fast, actionable developer feedback.
- Support container operations and secure Kubernetes/EKS environments and self-hosted GitLab Runners.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and blameless post-mortems to drive operational excellence.
- Onboard and support engineering teams to improve resilience, reliability, and reduce operational burden.
Education
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent capability)
