Skills
- Enrolled in a bachelor's or graduate program by start of employment
- 3+ months of software programming or development experience
- Proficiency coding in one or more: C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python
- Experience with debugging, unit testing, and performance optimization
- Effective written and verbal communication and ability to work in teams
- ITAR/export eligibility: U.S. citizen, U.S. national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain software across the lifecycle (design, implementation, unit testing, deployment, operational support)
- Work closely with an assigned mentor and cross-functional teams to deliver features and fixes that impact flight systems, satellite infrastructure, or factory tools
- Analyze, debug, and optimize code for performance and reliability in real-world systems
- Create and maintain software documentation, system diagrams, and requirements
- Participate in code reviews, integration testing, and pre-launch verification (for flight teams)
- Support team events, technical presentations, and professional development activities
Education
- Currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s or graduate degree program by the start of internship
- Coursework or projects demonstrating software development experience; GPA 3.5+ is preferred

- Hourly pay $30–$40/hour (rate determined by academic level); equivalent annual range approx. $62,400–$83,200
