Skills
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- 1+ years experience in a manufacturing or developmental manufacturing environment
- Process engineering: project management, capacity modeling, process mapping, layouts
- Experience with inventory, production, and capacity planning (MRP/ERP)
- Analytical experience using Excel, SQL, or Python/R for modeling or analysis
- Familiarity with industrial facilities (HVAC, gases, electrical, structural)
- Knowledge of lean, Six Sigma, or related production principles
- Ability to work hands-on on the factory floor and to travel or work extended hours
Responsibilities
- Design and own factory and production area layouts emphasizing visual clarity and linear flow
- Conduct vendor job walks, negotiate pricing, and manage vendor schedules
- Host process walks to identify steps to delete or simplify and drive implementation of changes
- Plan and execute complex factory build and expansion projects with minimal time and cost
- Lead hands-on execution and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver projects rapidly
- Develop tools and analyses for delivery, capacity, and cost to guide production decisions
- Implement system and process improvements to improve part flow and throughput
Education
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline required
- Advanced degree in engineering or related field preferred (not required)
