Sr. Software Engineer, Additive Manufacturing (Raptor)
Skills
- Production C++ development (proficient, 5+ years)
- Experience working in Linux environments
- Familiarity with modern CI/CD tooling and workflows
- Software design, testing, and code review practices
- Experience with data acquisition and in-situ monitoring systems
- Comfort integrating with motion, control, and embedded systems
- Knowledge of computer geometry or geometry processing
- Familiarity with libraries/tooling such as Qt, VTK, Boost, CUDA, and CMake (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement software for production-scale metal additive manufacturing systems and supporting infrastructure
- Collaborate with automation and controls engineers to integrate software with motion and control systems
- Develop and maintain build logic, data acquisition, and in-situ monitoring pipelines to enable automated analysis
- Design and implement production-ready control software and algorithms for lasing and printer control systems
- Follow and enforce software engineering best practices: design reviews, code reviews, testing, and CI/CD
- Work cross-functionally with additive manufacturing, production, and engine design teams to iterate on hardware and software improvements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or STEM discipline (preferred)
- OR equivalent professional experience (8+ years in lieu of degree)

- Base salary range: $160,000 - $225,000 per year
