As one of the world’s most admired brands, Toyota is growing and leading the future of mobility through innovative, high-quality solutions designed to enhance lives and delight those we serve. We’re looking for talented team members who want to Dream. Do. Grow. with us.
An important part of the Toyota family is Toyota Financial Services (TFS), the finance and insurance brand for Toyota and Lexus in North America. While TFS is a separate business entity, it is an essential part of this world-changing company- delivering on Toyota's vision to move people beyond what's possible. At TFS, you will help create best-in-class customer experience in an innovative, collaborative environment.
To save time applying, Toyota does not offer sponsorship of job applicants for employment-based visas or any other work authorization for this position at this time.
Who We’re Looking For
Toyota Financial Services is looking for a Manager UI/UX Designer who is obsessed with the customer, thinks deeply about people and processes and moves with the urgency of a startup inside one of the world’s most trusted brands.
You’ll own the end-to-end design of a product area — from understanding the customer problem, to defining the experience, to shipping it and measuring whether it worked. You’ll talk to real customers, review usability data to find what’s broken, and continually iterate to craft world class digital experiences.
At this level, you’re also a multiplier. You can work well with a variety of stakeholders, including contractors and consultants, to raise the craft of the team around you, help shape design systems, and influence product strategy — not just execution.
If you’ve thrived in a startup or early-stage product environment and yet can navigate, anticipate and address the needs of a large enterprise, this is the role for you.
What You’ll Be Doing
Own the design of a product area end-to-end from discovery through delivery and iteration
Ideate and prototype — work with product, engineering, research, and operations to design the future of our end-to-end customer experience
Research — work with product and research to conduct user interviews, identify pain points, and set priorities; run lightweight research independently when needed
Create — produce information architecture diagrams, journey maps, wireframes, flows, high-fidelity mocks, and interactive prototypes
Communicate — present your design vision and rationale clearly to stakeholders at all levels, in writing and in person
Collaborate — work closely with product and engineering to validate feasibility and ensure high-quality implementation
Make design decisions based on data, customer feedback, and business impact — not opinions or stakeholder preferences
Mentor — guide and elevate other designers on the team through critique, pairing, and design process coaching
What You Bring
10+ years of experience as an individual contributor on an in-house product design team, working on consumer-facing digital products
A portfolio with native and/or web case studies that demonstrates your approach to problem solving — research, UX, visual design, and interaction design — not just the final output
Figma mastery — you live and breathe in Figma, and you build rich, interactive prototypes
Excellent communication — you can present a design rationale that product, engineering, and business stakeholders all understand and align on
A well-defined design process you can articulate and adapt to the situation
Startup mindset with enterprise polish — you’re comfortable with ambiguity, you move fast, but you can bring along critical stakeholders with patience and confident leadership
Experience working directly with engineering teams in an agile environment to ensure that what gets built matches your design intent
Added Bonus If You Have
Experience building or contributing to a design system from the ground up
Comfort working within development teams to ship design-specific updates using AI code generation tools — you don’t need to be an engineer, but you’re willing to contribute to the team to accelerate design changes
Experience in automotive, fintech, lending, or marketplace products
Experience designing AI/ML-powered product features (search, recommendations, personalization)
Experience designing products that involve regulatory or compliance considerations
What We’ll Bring
During your interview process, our team can fill you in on all the details of our industry-leading benefits and career development opportunities. A few highlights include:
A work environment built on teamwork, flexibility, and respect
Professional growth and development programs to help advance your career, as well as tuition reimbursement
Team Member Vehicle Purchase Discount

Comprehensive health care and wellness plans for your entire family
Toyota 401(k) Savings Plan featuring a company match, as well as an annual retirement contribution from Toyota regardless of whether you contribute

Referral services related to prenatal services, adoption, childcare, schools, and more
Tax Advantaged Accounts (Health Savings Account, Health Care FSA, Dependent Care FSA)
