As Software Engineer for the Bone and Metabolic Health (BMH) business of GE HealthCare, you will have the opportunity to apply and grow your skills in software engineering design and development of new innovative technological solutions for a market leading DXA bone density and body composition product line in addition to supporting a global installed base.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Define, develop, and evolve software engineering solutions in a fast paced lean/agile environment
Design robust software system architectures that align with multi-generational software framework and allows for future product expansion
Work closely with systems, application, marketing, service, clinical teams and customers in requirements gathering and systems design
Interact with global teams across GE Healthcare to maximize synergies across common software platform components
Apply principles of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) across all phases of software development

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
Experience in C++ and object orientated design methodologies in a Windows environment

Desired Characteristics

Medical device design and development experience desired
Demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion satisfying quality, performance, schedule, and budget requirements
Embedded design and development experience desired
