Job Description

The Visa Commercial Solutions (VCS) team is a world-class commercial organization experiencing high double-digit growth as we expand into new payment flows and continue to grow our core card solutions.  VCS works closely with Financial Institutions and FinTech's to bring payment solutions and associated services that meet the needs of Small Businesses, Growth Corporates, Large Enterprises, Multi-Nationals and Governments around the world. Within VCS, Embedded Payments is core to Visa’s growth strategy in delivering capabilities that improve our client’s business-to-business (B2B) payments experience and expand those capabilities beyond regular card products and traditional use cases.  

The Director, GTM & Partner Marketing for Embedded Payments will lead the planning and execution of VCS’ Embedded Payments go-to-market (GTM) initiatives through targeted, high-impact strategic marketing and activation efforts. Orchestrating across both Visa and partner teams, this role is responsible for supporting key enabler partnerships across ERPs, AR /AP providers and accounting platforms, and will help drive their commercialization globally. It blends strategic GTM planning with execution across partner activation, account-based marketing, and integrated campaigns, including compelling ways to communicate potential and realized value to clients.  

This role sits at the intersection of Sales, Marketing, and Product, acting as the GTM owner for Embedded Payments initiatives. The person in this position will be key in shaping how partners and clients understand and engage with Visa’s embedded payment solutions.  They will play a hands-on role in partner marketing execution, influence the partner experience, and ensure consistent delivery of a high-quality GTM strategy that accelerates adoption. 

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated builder who thrives in driving cross-functional initiatives and understands how to communicate the value of embedded payments to both technical and non-technical audiences. They will have a good understanding of B2B payment products and strong background in crafting commercialization strategies, refining and driving high level thought leadership narratives, as well as product level messaging and enabling regional GTM and activation teams for success. This role is an Individual Contributor role.
Key Responsibilities 

Go-to-Market Strategy & Planning 

  • Develop and execute partner GTM strategies that accelerate adoption of Embedded Payments with prospective and existing partners across fintechs, SaaS, and Banking partners contributing to Visa’s revenue goals.
  • Collaborate with SMEs to create sophisticated thought leadership narratives for executive and industry audiences that position Visa’s Embedded Payments as the preferred methods for B2B applications.  Marketing assets will include whitepapers, playbooks, articles, podcasts, etc. 
  • Build and maintain partner-specific plans aligned to core business objectives, industry verticals, and revenue targets.
  •  Collaborate cross-functionally with global and regional Product, Sales, Marketing, Operations and other key stakeholders to drive GTM execution. 

Partner Activation & Enablement 

  • Work directly with partners to plan and execute marketing and sales strategies, ensuring clear articulation of value propositions, differentiation, and product benefits, to drive adoption, awareness, and payment volume.
  •  Lead partner sales enablement by co-creating corresponding partner toolkits, onboarding assets, and joint GTM materials to support partner sales and marketing teams.  Deliver GTM playbook and scale it globally across Visa and partners in collaboration with regional teams
  •  Act as the main GTM liaison between partner marketing teams and internal ones, driving cross-functional collaboration across partner activities.

Campaign Management & Demand Generation 

  • Lead co-marketing initiatives with partners including webinars, case studies, email campaigns, and social amplification. 
  • Define demand-generation campaigns across partners across channels such as search, social, partner channels, and industry media. 
  • Build and execute Account Based Marketing on key partnerships targeting high-value prospects via customized outreach programs and optimized campaigns. 
  • Manage campaign calendars, budgets, and performance reporting, ensuring revenue-focused KPIs.
  • Establish and track key performance metrics for partner-related campaigns measuring attribution and partner impact on revenue growth. 

Communication, Events & Partner Marketing Support 

  • Support internal, partner-led, and industry events through planning, promotion, and onsite brand presence. 
  • Coordinate joint event activities including speaking engagements, sponsorships, and partner booth strategy. 
  • Ensure brand alignment and consistent delivery of key Embedded Payments value messages. 

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager. 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
  • 10+ years of experience in go-to-market, product commercialization, partner marketing, preferably in payments, fintech, SaaS platforms, or embedded financial services.
  • Excellent track record in building and managing partner marketing programs on a global scale preferably in SaaS and fintech companies.
  • Demonstrated results designing and implementing go-to-market efforts in collaboration with Sales, Marketing and Product teams within Visa and with Partners.
  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills; ability to translate complex concepts into intuitive and compelling content for a diverse audience.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with a builder mentality, exhibiting strong project management and interpersonal skills, working with small and large organizations
  • Experience with marketing automation, ABM tools, and analytics platforms is a plus.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is 192,300.00 to 307,600.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
