Launch Service Mission Manager
Skills
- 3+ years of professional launch integration experience
- Strong engineering background (mechanical/aerospace or related)
- Experience with launch safety and reliability processes
- Ability to interpret complex system requirements and specifications
- Clear technical communication, documentation, and training capabilities
- Ability to travel for launch support as required
Responsibilities
- Own launch integration plans and procedures across orbital regimes
- Provide and manage deliverables to launch providers and payload processing facilities
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, systems, ops, PM) to meet launch requirements
- Triage issues, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate corrective actions
- Support ground testing, launch windows, and on-orbit operations
- Manage regulatory and licensing activities (FCC, NOAA, etc.) with internal teams and agencies
- Serve as primary point of contact for customers and launch providers during integration and launch
Education
- BS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering discipline (required)
- MS or advanced degree in a related field (preferred)
