- Regulatory awareness (IVD, ISO 13485, 21 CFR Part 820)
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end program delivery for one or more core teams, maintaining schedule integrity and cross-functional accountability.
- Translate technical roadmaps into executable Scrum plans; define and enforce DoR and DoD standards and improve Scrum ceremonies.
- Manage PDP stage-gate reviews, phase exit criteria, gate readiness, and artifact delivery across Concept → Transfer.
- Maintain live program dashboards (Jira/Confluence) with real-time schedule, risk, and quality metrics for leadership.
- Drive cross-functional alignment across Software, Hardware, Assay, Systems Integration, Computational Biology, Manufacturing, and Consumables to remove blockers and resolve issues.
- Partner with Systems Integration to define integration test plans and drive resolution of system-level issues prior to gate reviews.
- Align design-for-manufacturability and consumable readiness milestones with manufacturing and transfer timelines.
- Maintain risk logs, track mitigation plans, and ensure timely staffing and completion of actions.
- Apply domain knowledge of verification & validation, design controls, and regulatory considerations relevant to instrument development.
- Deploy, integrate, and continuously improve AI-powered tools to automate program management and scrum workflows.
- Travel up to 30% for program needs, including occasional overnight/weekend travel.
Education
- Bachelor's degree plus typically 8+ years related experience (life sciences, medtech, or analytical instrumentation) or equivalent experience
- Master's degree with typically 6+ years experience, or PhD with 3+ years experience also accepted
