Crusoe is on a mission to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. As the only vertically integrated AI infrastructure company built from the ground up, we own and operate each layer of the stack — from electrons to tokens — to power the world's most ambitious AI workloads. When you join Crusoe, you join a team that is building the future, faster.
We're in the midst of the greatest industrial revolution of our time. The demand for AI compute is boundless, and power is a bottleneck. We're solving that — with an energy-first approach that makes AI infrastructure better for the world and faster for the people innovating with AI.
We're looking for problem-solving, opportunity-finding teammates with a sense of urgency, who believe in the scale of our ambition and thrive on a path not fully paved — people who want to grow their careers alongside a team of experts across energy, manufacturing, data center construction, and cloud services.
If you want to do the most meaningful work of your career, help our customers and partners advance their AI strategies, and be part of a high-performing team that believes in each other, come build with us at Crusoe.
About This Role:
The Manager, Local Community Engagement Liaison will build and maintain the "social license to operate" in the communities where we build and maintain infrastructure. Local Official Engagement: Maintain regular contact with City Councils, County Commissions, and local planning boards to provide project updates.
Crisis Communication: Respond quickly to local concerns or misinformation, resolving issues before they escalate to the municipal or state level.
Community Investment: Manage the local "giving" budget, identifying high-impact opportunities for sponsorships, grants, and volunteer events (e.g., local STEM programs, environmental cleanups) in support of the larger Crusoe philanthropic strategy
Public Forums: Organize, support and lead town halls, "open house" events, and site tours to demystify our operations and answer technical questions for a general audience.
Workforce Partnerships: Partner with local community colleges or trade schools to create pathways for local hiring and training.
Local Intelligence: Act as the "eyes and ears" for the corporate team, providing regular reports on local sentiment, political shifts, and potential project roadblocks.
Content Creation: Collaborate with the Public Affairs/Marketing/Comms team to create localized newsletters, fact sheets, and social media updates that resonate with the specific community.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
Experience: 5+ years in community relations, local government, or public affairs. Experience in construction, energy, or large-scale land development is a plus.
The "Local" Factor: A deep understanding of the specific region’s culture, history, and political landscape.
Conflict Resolution: Proven ability to remain calm and professional in high-tension environments (e.g., a heated town hall meeting).
Communication: Exceptional storytelling skills; the ability to explain why a data center or energy project matters to a local farmer or shop owner.
Availability: Willingness to attend evening city council meetings and weekend community events.
