Skills
- 3–5 years commercial construction safety experience
- Formal safety training including OSHA 500 (construction)
- Competency in scaffolding, crane management, steel erection, fall protection, excavation and confined space
- Ability to deliver safety training and lead toolbox talks
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting at all levels
Responsibilities
- Execute and monitor the project safety program and Holder’s zero-accident strategy on site
- Inspect daily construction activities for compliance with OSHA and company safety policies
- Teach on-site safety classes (fall protection, excavation/confined space, scaffolding, electrical safety, OSHA-10/30)
- Identify and correct safety deficiencies in the field and coordinate corrective actions
- Support emergency response planning and on-site incident investigations
- Collaborate with contractors and project teams to maintain safety documentation and reporting
Education
- Formal safety training (OSHA 500 preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management or related field preferred
- Professional safety certifications (CSP, CHSP) preferred
