Sales Analyst, Funnel & Revenue Optimization

The Senior Analyst, Funnel & Revenue Optimization will own analysis and operational improvements across the hybrid self-serve and sales-assisted revenue engine, diagnosing funnel friction, measuring tradeoffs, and recommending structural changes that drive conversion, velocity, and revenue efficiency.

Skills

  • Advanced SQL and experience working with event-level product and CRM data
  • Experience with product analytics tools (Mixpanel, Amplitude, Heap)
  • Experience with BI/visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, Mode)
  • Strong understanding of SaaS metrics (ARR, MRR, CAC, LTV, retention, expansion)
  • Experience evaluating experiments, cohort analyses, and funnel conversion trends
  • Forecasting and revenue impact modeling
  • Strong cross-functional communication and executive-level presentation skills
  • Systems thinking and revenue-focused problem solving

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end analysis of the customer journey across self-serve and sales-assisted funnels
  • Identify drop-off points, stalled opportunities, and friction between product-led and sales-assisted motions
  • Evaluate assist rates and quantify incremental revenue lift from sales involvement
  • Analyze activation behavior, product-qualified signals, and usage thresholds that influence conversion
  • Quantify the impact of routing logic, qualification criteria, and lead scoring on downstream revenue
  • Recommend structural changes to improve conversion rates, velocity, and revenue efficiency
  • Determine routing decisions for prospects (self-serve vs sales-assisted) based on revenue impact
  • Analyze pricing tier movement, packaging effectiveness, discounting trends, and upgrade behavior
  • Partner with Marketing to translate funnel performance into downstream revenue and refine targeting
  • Improve funnel instrumentation, event tracking, and maintain consistent funnel stage definitions
  • Build models connecting acquisition, activation, engagement, conversion, and expansion
  • Run deep-dive analyses, forecast revenue impact of changes, and present recommendations to leadership

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Math) or equivalent practical experience
