- Advanced SQL for querying, modeling, and optimization (5+ years)
- Designing and implementing scalable ETL/ELT processes (5+ years)
- Experience with cloud data orchestration tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory)
- Experience with big data platforms: data lakes, Spark, and columnar formats like Parquet
- Cloud-hosted data systems experience (2+ years) and pipeline reliability best practices
- Technical writing and documentation skills for data platforms
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for real-time and batch analytics workloads
- Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes and data movement with data quality tooling
- Contribute to lakehouse and warehouse data model design to support analytics and reporting
- Partner with business, design, test, and development teams to capture and improve data requirements
- Lead technical writing initiatives and produce clear, discoverable documentation
- Create and enforce documentation standards, organization, and knowledge-sharing processes
- Apply engineering best practices for reliability, scalability, and data quality across platforms
- Research and propose improvements to documentation workflows and platform workflows
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Relevant cloud or data engineering certifications are a plus
