Account Executive - job 1 of 10

TEGNA's WUSA-TV, the CBS affiliate serving the Washington market, is seeking an experienced Account Executive to drive new revenue across linear TV, digital, and OTT (PREMION) solutions. The ideal candidate will prospect and consult with local businesses to build multi-platform campaigns, upsell existing clients, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure outstanding campaign execution and client service.

Skills

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals in a media sales environment.
  • Knowledge of broadcast, digital advertising, audio/interactive, and OTT advertising.
  • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office to manage pipelines and prepare proposals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and proposal-writing skills.
  • Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Creative problem solving and ability to develop campaign solutions for client needs.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to engage locally in-person.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect consistently to generate new revenue opportunities using client and category insights.
  • Upsell current clients on the full product line including broadcast, digital, audio, interactive, and OTT (PREMION).
  • Design custom, solutions-driven campaigns that meet client business objectives across multiple media platforms.
  • Expand and deepen client relationships by understanding their business needs and competitive landscape.
  • Provide clear direction to Account Management for successful campaign execution and contract fulfillment.
  • Partner with Account Managers to deliver exceptional customer service and ensure contract fulfillment.
  • Use Matrix and station CRM to manage pipeline, day-to-day activity, and sales forecasts.
  • Represent the station professionally at community events and to local businesses.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field preferred
