Director of Sales

TextUs is a mobile-first conversational engagement platform focused on transforming business communication through measurable, easy-to-use messaging solutions. The Director of Sales is a player-coach who will carry personal quota for enterprise and channel accounts while directly managing and developing a lean team of two sales reps to drive revenue, refine go-to-market strategy, and provide field-informed feedback to product and marketing.

Skills

  • Proven quota-carrying enterprise and channel sales experience
  • Experience coaching and managing individual contributors in a high-growth SaaS environment
  • Strong CRM proficiency and pipeline management skills
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities
  • Analytical aptitude for interpreting pipeline and sales performance data
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments and leading through change
  • Remote sales experience and ability to collaborate across distributed teams

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage a personal quota focused on Enterprise and Channel accounts: source, develop, and close new business deals independently.
  • Conduct prospect discovery, craft compelling proposals and presentations, and negotiate to close complex deals.
  • Accurately forecast personal pipeline and monthly revenue; maintain up-to-date CRM data.
  • Directly manage one Senior Account Executive and one Account Executive: set expectations, run deal reviews, coach on calls, and drive reps' professional growth.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans that align personal and team revenue targets and market penetration goals.
  • Run pipeline inspections, call coaching sessions, and performance reviews to keep forecast accuracy and team performance high.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing and Product to report market trends and provide actionable field feedback.
  • Collaborate with SVP Sales & Marketing on annual planning, quota design, and go-to-market strategy.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
  • Formal sales leadership or management training is a plus
