This role leads a team of approximately 15 professionals covering payer strategy and contracting, patient access services, field access operations, government reimbursement, and health economics and outcomes research (HEOR). The Vice President serves as a key member of the US Commercial Leadership Team, partnering closely with colleagues in Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Commercial Insights & Operations, and New Product Planning to shape and deliver the overall U.S. commercial strategy.

The incumbent also provides strategic input and commercial perspective to business development opportunities evaluated by the company’s parent organization, ensuring that U.S. payer and access dynamics are fully considered in opportunity assessments and valuation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Access Strategy and Leadership – 30%

    • Lead the development of pricing, contracting, and payer engagement strategies across public and private segments.
    • Ensure alignment of access strategies with corporate objectives, brand positioning, and global market access priorities.
    • Serve as the senior expert on U.S. payer policy, reimbursement trends, and value demonstration strategies for rare oncology and specialty indications.
  • Team and Organizational Leadership – 10%
  • Manage and develop a cross-functional market access team of 15 professionals across patient services, government reimbursement, field access, and HEOR.
  • Build a high-performing, collaborative team culture focused on patient impact, operational excellence, and compliance.
  • Provide mentorship and development to future leaders within the Market Access organization.
  • Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) – 10%
    • Oversee HEOR strategy to support product value communication, formulary decision-making, and health technology assessments.
    • Guide the generation of real-world evidence and economic models to demonstrate clinical and economic value to payers and providers.
    • Ensure that HEOR activities are integrated into brand planning and life-cycle management strategies.
  • Patient Access and Reimbursement – 20%
  • Direct patient support program strategy and operations to minimize barriers to access and maximize adherence.
  • Oversee field access team activities to ensure consistent, compliant engagement with healthcare providers and payer organizations.
  • Ensure reimbursement support and affordability programs are aligned with patient needs and compliant with regulatory standards.
  • Cross-Functional and Strategic Collaboration – 20%
    • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Medical Affairs to ensure coordinated commercial execution and unified messaging across customer segments.
    • Collaborate with Commercial Insights & Operations to inform forecasting, access analytics, and performance measurement.
    • Work closely with New Product Planning to ensure payer insights and market access considerations inform early-stage asset development and launch readiness planning.
    • Contribute to business development assessments, providing payer and pricing expertise for in-licensing, co-promotion, or acquisition opportunities.
  • Governance and Compliance – 10%
  • Ensure all Market Access activities adhere to company policies, U.S. regulatory and legal requirements, and industry codes of conduct.
  • Establish appropriate performance metrics and governance frameworks to monitor access outcomes and operational efficiency.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
