The Met houses 1.5 million objects in our collection, but some of our most valuable assets are our staff. It takes a wide range of individuals and roles to keep the Museum running. From curators, analysts, technicians, security officers, and human resources professionals to electricians, educators, administrators, research associates, and designers, there is a role for everyone here.
The Met provides an opportunity for employees to enrich and develop their love of the arts while contributing their specific skills and talents to the mission of the Museum. Career opportunities in the Museum are as varied as the cultures represented in The Met collection and require all levels of training, experience, and education.
Research shows that women and people from underrepresented groups often apply to jobs only if they meet 100% of the qualifications. We recognize that it is highly unlikely that someone meets 100% of the qualifications for a role. If much of a job description describes you, then please apply for the role. We always look at the bigger picture of what you could bring to The Met.
