Vice President, Pharmacy Benefit Consulting

EPIC is a large, growing national brokerage and professional services group seeking a Vice President of Pharmacy Benefit Consulting to lead the Employer Middle Market segment. The role requires a seasoned pharmacy benefits leader to drive client satisfaction and NPS, grow and retain the portfolio, lead clinical and consulting teams, and manage PBM/vendor relationships while supporting product development and strategic client consulting.

Skills

  • Deep knowledge of PBM and specialty pharmacy operations and contracting
  • Strong clinical and financial analysis skills
  • Experience managing broker, TPA and captive market relationships
  • Proven leadership and team development capabilities
  • Contract negotiation and vendor management experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Teams, Zoom and other business applications

Responsibilities

  • Drive client and broker satisfaction, monitor and improve NPS for the segment
  • Grow and retain client portfolio through strategic account management and business development support
  • Recruit, lead and develop clinicians, consultants, and operational staff
  • Lead and contribute to EPIC/PSG leadership planning and strategy sessions
  • Define and implement clinical and non-clinical business strategy to optimize value, affordability and profitability
  • Manage PBM and pharmacy vendor procurement, contracting, vendor selection and implementation
  • Oversee program operations including audits, market checks, reporting, and vendor management
  • Support product development and maintenance, including input to Artemetrx tool development
  • Provide sales and marketing support for the Employer Middle Market segment
  • Deliver strategic consulting to key clients and support enterprise clinical strategy

Education

  • Bachelor's degree (pharmacy background preferred)
  • MBA and/or PharmD/RPh strongly preferred
