Alliance Animal Health is a fast-growing private equity backed, Veterinary Service Organization that operates as a majority owner and business partner to many veterinarian practices across the US. Our goal is to make it easier for our practices at every step by providing world-class business solutions like talent acquisition, marketing, human resources, finance, and operations, so that they can focus their energy on providing incredible care for animals. In fact, our Core Values are (quite literally) written with PETS in mind: Passion, Engagement, Trust and Service.
We want our doctor partners to choose what's best for their practice because they are the experts in medicine, while we customize the support, the co-ownership approach, and business solutions based on their goals. We pride ourselves on maintaining a culture of open communication and collaboration to deliver innovative solutions to advance today’s veterinary environment - without disrupting the medical autonomy and what makes each of our hospitals unique. Because at the end of the day, our central support team exists to serve our practices. So, if you’re excited about using your talents to make an impact on the health and wellness of pets - we’d love to talk with you!
Position Overview
Alliance Animal Health is seeking an experienced Benefits Manager to support the administration, compliance, and optimization of our employee benefits, leave of absence programs, and insurance claims oversight across a growing, multi-state organization. If you're passionate about supporting meaningful benefits programs that help the people caring for pets every day, we’d love to talk with you.
This role plays an important part in ensuring our benefits programs remain competitive and compliant. The ideal candidate brings strong regulatory knowledge, analytical skills, vendor management experience, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Key Responsibilities
This role is responsible for administering and supporting the organization’s employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, voluntary benefits, and the 401(k) retirement plan. The position partners with leadership and benefits brokers to review plan performance, analyze claims and utilization trends, support renewals, and ensure programs remain competitive, cost-effective, and compliant with applicable regulations.
The Benefits Manager also oversees leave of absence programs, including FMLA, disability, ADA accommodations, and multi-state leave laws, while serving as a resource for complex leave matters. This role ensures compliance with federal and state regulations such as ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and Section 125, supports required reporting and audits, and maintains accurate plan documentation.
In addition, the position coordinates closely with benefits vendors, brokers, and third-party administrators to support renewals, resolve service issues, and ensure effective program delivery. The role assists with annual open enrollment planning and communications, provides guidance to teammates and HR partners on benefits-related questions, and helps create clear benefits education materials.
This role also supports ongoing process improvements, HRIS reporting, and system optimization to enhance efficiency and scalability as the organization continues to grow.
