Skills
- Proficient C programming for systems/embedded software
- Experience with RTOS-based development
- Device driver development and sensor/actuator interfaces
- Familiarity with communication buses (CAN/CANFD, UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553, ARINC)
- Systems programming: algorithms, data structures, concurrency, optimization
- Architecture and roadmap ownership across cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience with testing, simulation, and hardware-in-the-loop setups
- Eligible to obtain and maintain U.S. Secret security clearance
Responsibilities
- Own multi-year software roadmaps and deliver customer success across multiple stakeholders and teams
- Architect, design, and implement safety-critical vehicle sub-systems (sensor processing, state estimation, contingency management, actuation, payload and mission interfaces)
- Develop real-time embedded software on an RTOS and author device drivers for sensors and actuators
- Define and drive software lifecycle processes, testing, and CI for hardware- and software-in-the-loop validation
- Coordinate with external teams on interfacing requirements and represent software equities to engineering, product, and sales leadership
- Lead, mentor, and grow multi-disciplinary engineering teams and support manufacturing, deployment, and sustainment
- Travel to co-locate with end-users and partner teams up to 20% of the time
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering or a relevant field, or equivalent experience
