1. Agents — Conversational AI assistants that use tools (integrations, workflows, code sandbox, MCP servers) to accomplish open-ended tasks. Unlike workflows that follow fixed paths, agents decide which tools to use and when, adapting based on context. Users configure agents with a system prompt, a model, and a set of tools. Agents can be deployed to a chat UI, Slack, or Microsoft Teams, and can run autonomously via scheduled or event-based triggers.
2. Workflows — Visual, drag-and-drop automations composed of connected nodes on a canvas. Each node is a discrete operation (call an API, run AI, read a spreadsheet, send an email). Workflows are deterministic and repeatable. They can be triggered manually, on a schedule, via webhook, or by external events (new email, Slack message, etc.). Workflows can also be attached to agents as callable tools — the agent orchestrates, the workflow executes.
3. Gumstack — Enterprise-grade MCP hosting, observability, and AI governance. Organizations provision managed MCP servers, control which AI models are available, audit every tool call, and enforce security policies across all agents and workflows.

As a Solutions Engineer at Gumloop, you'll work directly with customers to turn their highest-value automation opportunities into production reality on our platform. You'll lead pilots and initial onboarding for new customers, partner with account teams to drive adoption and expansion, and serve as the technical authority from first conversation through scale. This is a hands-on, full-lifecycle role — you own outcomes, not just demos.
Lead pilots and initial onboarding for new enterprise customers end-to-end
Scope, build, and deploy solutions on the Gumloop platform that customers can own and extend
Partner with account teams to drive adoption and expansion within existing accounts
Serve as the technical authority throughout the full customer lifecycle
Bridge the gap between customers and our product and engineering teams
Technical background — comfortable building and configuring software solutions independently
Strong customer-facing communication skills — you translate technical complexity into business value
Experience in solutions engineering, implementation, or technical consulting
Comfort working in a fast-moving startup environment where the playbook is still being written
Experience with automation tools, AI products, or enterprise SaaS platforms
Background in software engineering or technical product management
Familiarity with enterprise security and compliance concerns (SOC 2, SSO/SCIM, VPC deployments).
