Business Development Manager, Telco

Sand Technologies is a global Physical AI company applying data and AI to improve critical infrastructure across sectors including telecommunications. We are seeking a Business Development Manager (Telco) to drive account growth with Tier-1 MNOs, FiberCos, and CableCos in the United States by shaping AI/ML-driven digital twin solutions, working closely with technical teams, partners, and executives to move opportunities from discovery to deployment.

Skills

  • Proven experience selling or developing solutions with Tier-1 telecom operators in the US.
  • Ability to engage both executive and technical audiences and translate technical capabilities into business value.
  • Familiarity with telecom network domains (RAN, access planning, OSP) and telecom decision-making structures.
  • Comfort working in fast-moving, ambiguous, cross-functional technical environments with data/AI elements.
  • Experience collaborating with cloud and technology partners to develop co-sell opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute go-to-account strategies to grow presence and wallet share across assigned telecom accounts (Tier-1 MNOs, FiberCos, CableCos).
  • Engage executive and technical stakeholders (C-suite, CTO, RAN, planning, data & AI) to translate priorities into deployable solutions using SandOS and digital twin accelerators.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, forward-deployed engineers, delivery, and infra teams to shape pilots and guide opportunities through qualification, procurement, and close.
  • Work with hyperscaler and ecosystem partners (e.g., cloud providers, NVIDIA) to drive co-sell motions, joint pipeline development, and partner-led initiatives.
  • Identify and qualify high-impact telco infrastructure challenges, design pilot scopes, and expand engagements from prototypes to multi-year production deployments.
  • Build detailed customer profiles, stakeholder maps, and tailored engagement plans for target accounts.
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences and provide regular market feedback to leadership on opportunities and competitive dynamics.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business, technology, engineering, or related field
  • Relevant industry certifications or coursework in data/AI or cloud platforms are a plus
