Starlink Account Lead (State & Local Government)

SpaceX's Starlink team is building a global low-latency broadband service and is hiring an Account Lead to own enterprise relationships with State & Local government customers. The role requires a customer-obsessed leader who can manage contracts from signature through activation, drive account retention and growth, and build scalable processes that minimize manual touch.

Skills

  • Account management and customer success experience with enterprise or government customers
  • Experience managing complex contracts, schedules, and renegotiations
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to synthesize requirements and propose pragmatic technical or product solutions
  • Proven negotiation skills and business judgment
  • Comfort working cross-functionally and leading process improvements

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary point of contact for assigned State & Local government accounts from contract signature through activation and ongoing management
  • Deliver high-quality customer service, promptly acknowledge and resolve issues, and manage expectations
  • Retain and grow account value while identifying upsell and expansion opportunities
  • Collect and champion customer feedback to influence product, programmatic, and technical development
  • Communicate readiness, requirements, schedules, and risks to realize forecasted revenue
  • Act as internal subject-matter expert for the State & Local government vertical and inform strategic decisions
  • Design and implement process and system improvements to scale the team and reduce humans-in-the-loop

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree OR high school diploma/equivalency with 3+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Relevant experience with technical products or telecommunications preferred
