The Senior Payroll Auditor & Quality Assurance ensures the accuracy, compliance, integrity, and reliability for all payroll data across Workday and related systems. Perform routine and complex audits, analyze data trends and investigates discrepancies. Foster continuous improvement, establish quality controls, and collaborate across functions to identify data issues, suggest process enhancements, and meet reporting requirements that bolster compliance, operational efficiency, and data governance.

Payroll Compliance and Regulatory Oversight
* Ensure payroll practices comply with:
Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
Federal, State and local wage and hour laws
Final Pay, Pay frequency, and wage statement regulations
Audit, Risk Management & Controls
* Perform pre and post payroll audits to ensure 100% accuracy of payroll results, including earnings, deductions and taxes..
* Identify data discrepancies, determine root causes, and partner with HR, HRIS, Payroll, and field teams to resolve issues.
* Ensure all audit findings, reporting tasks, and open data issues are tracked and resolved within required timeframes
* Support internal, external, and government audits.
* Assist with design, documentation, and execution of testing scenarios for system updates, configuration changes, and new functionality.
* Develop and maintain payroll compliance controls, documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Policy Development & Guidance
* Provide expert guidance on payroll compliance issues to Payroll, HR and management.
* Support the development and maintenance of payroll poicies
Systems, Data & Reporting
* Validate timekeeping and payroll system logic for overtime, premiums, and differentials.
* Develop compliance-focused reports and dashboards to support leadership decision making.
* Develop, maintain, and deliver standard and custom Workday reports to support the organization.
Training & Education
* Provide training to payroll, HR, and managers on compliance requirements.
* Stay current on legislative and regulatory changes and communicate impacts to stakeholders.
* Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Payroll department.
* Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications, is qualifying.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
Experience: Five (5) years of progressive payroll experience with at least five (3) years focused on payroll auditing, quality assurance or compliance. Experience supporting payroll audits, investigations, and regulatory inquiries. Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
License/Certification: CPP or FPC preferred

Pay Range
Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role.
Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities, as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid salary range.
Minimum to Midpoint Range (Hourly): $53.98 to $71.57
