Commercial Sales Associate

Virtru is a data-protection SaaS company focused on enabling secure data sharing via an open platform and the Trusted Data Format (TDF). The Commercial Sales Associate will drive top-of-funnel pipeline through multi-channel outreach, sales-technology management, event engagement, and data-driven prospecting to generate qualified meetings for the commercial sales team.

Skills

  • Proven experience in cold calling and multi-channel outbound outreach
  • Familiarity with sales engagement and intent platforms and AI prospecting tools
  • Comfortable working with CRM systems and reporting tools (Salesforce preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Event experience including pre-event research and onsite representation
  • Data-driven mindset and ability to generate insights from outreach activity

Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage new prospects via cold calls, tailored emails, and LinkedIn to generate qualified meetings
  • Qualify outbound leads through research and discovery to ensure a healthy pipeline
  • Operate and optimize sales engagement, intent, and AI-powered prospecting platforms
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and produce outreach/reporting insights
  • Build and enrich targeted account and prospect lists using data tools
  • Support event prework, onsite meeting booking, and post-event follow-up
  • Represent the company at conferences and industry events, including networking and appointment setting
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on campaigns, targeted outreach, and account-based initiatives

Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Open to candidates with strong sales or customer-facing experience regardless of formal degree
